New on the Board of Voith Turbo:
Christian Nykiel to Head Business Division Road

As of 1 September 2012 Christian Nykiel (51) will head the Business Division Road at Voith Turbo. The graduate business economist joined Voith in 2011 and worked as Commercial Manager at Voith Turbo Aufladungssysteme at the Voith location in Gommern.
Christian Nykiel
After studying business administration at Mannheim University of Cooperative Education, focusing on finance and accounting, Christian Nykiel started his professional career at ABB. From 1986 to 2004 he held various senior positions at a number of locations in Germany and Switzerland. In his last function at ABB, Christian Nykiel headed the Management Board of ABB Group Services Center GmbH. Until 2011, he worked as Divisional Manager Business Processes and Systems at Peguform GmbH, where he was in charge of business process optimization.

By taking over the management of the Business Division Road, Christian Nykiel will be responsible for drive and braking systems for buses, coaches, trucks and agricultural machinery. The product range includes automatic transmissions for citybuses, retarders, torsional vibration dampers and air compressors.

Nykiel succeeds Dr. Volker Zimmermann who successfully led the Business Division Road from 2004 until 2012 as Member of the Management Board of Voith Turbo GmbH & Co. KG.
