Qualification Ceremony at Voith for 59 Apprentices

Heidenheim. On Tuesday 11 September 2012, Voith held its sending-off ceremony for 59 apprentices who had successfully completed the company's training program.
In his official address, Ralf Hlubek, Commercial Vice President of Voith Dienstleistungen und Grundstücks GmbH & Co. KG, honored the achievements of the apprentices and emphasized the importance of a good training program: "Money can only be generated by value creation, by qualified work. And this requires a good and solid vocational education, especially in this day and age." This was Ralf Hlubek's advice for the future: "Keep on learning; your knowledge and your expertise is your investment for years to come, because professional qualifications are not subject to inflation."

Following an old tradition, the departing apprentices themselves made an important contribution to the ceremony. Former commercial trainees described the various stages of their apprenticeship to the guests from the Industrial Chamber of Commerce, vocational schools and Voith, and presented a series of projects on which they had worked during their time as trainees.

The official sending-off, the "release" of the new generation of qualified employees from their obligations to the apprenticeship contract was performed by Erwin Krajewski, Head of Technical Training at Voith.

Following the ceremony, Thomas Born, Vice President of Voith Dienstleistungen und Grundstücks GmbH & Co. KG, reflected on the highly successful training record of Voith spanning more than 100 years: "The excellent vocational training of our future specialists and senior managers has always been close to the heart of Voith," stated Thomas Born, who also took immense pleasure in presenting the best apprentices with the Voith Prize.
