Voith Takes Over Naming Rights for New hsb Sports Hall

The new sports hall of Heidenheimer Sportbund 1846 e.V. (hsb, Heidenheim Sports Association) will be given the name Voith-Sportzentrum (Voith Sports Center). As Voith announced today, the company has acquired the Naming Rights for the hall for the next ten years.
By taking over the naming rights for the sports hall, Voith is once again making a firm commitment to its headquarters and its roots. "At Voith, we regard our support for local organizations and initiatives as an investment into the quality of our location and the attractiveness of the town for our employees and their families. The hsb is one of the flagships of sport in Heidenheim," this is how Dr. Hubert Lienhard, President and CEO of the Voith Corporate Board of Management, endorsed the involvement of the company. "Voith has been enjoying a close partnership with the club for many years, for example with the fencing team and the baseball squad. With the Voith Sports Center we are reinforcing our involvement in popular sports. I am pleased that we were able to strengthen and expand our cooperation with the hsb in the long term."

Dr. Volker Wiedenmann, Chairman of the hsb Board is delighted about the cooperation: "We are very happy that Voith is lending us its name for the new sports and community hall. The Voith Sports Center shows that Heidenheim's industry can achieve a great deal together with the town and the local clubs and associations. We are pleased to see that Voith is so committed to sports and culture in Heidenheim."

The Voith Sports Center will be presented to the citizens of Heidenheim on 17 November with an open day. Apart from a gymnasium and a multipurpose hall the Voith Sports Center also offers facilities for martial arts, fitness and therapeutic exercises as well as numerous other sports activities.

Voith in Heidenheim has been a partner and sponsor of sports and culture for many years and is also actively involved in a number of educational projects.

Voith sets standards in the markets energy, oil & gas, paper, raw materials and transport & automotive. Founded in 1867, Voith employs more than 42,000 people, generates € 5.7 billion in sales, operates in about 50 countries around the world and is today one of the biggest family-owned companies in Europe.
