Improved machine run due to optimal clothing
The clothing audit is a modular kit for optimal adaptation of the clothing to the customer’s needs. It helps identify incorrect settings or defective components.
The main focus is on observing wear, material condition and contamination of the installed clothing sections by means of photo documentation in the wire section and dryer section, as well as measurement of thickness, permeability and moisture in the press. Determining the remaining running time significantly increases the operational safety of the machine, since the likelihood of clothing damage can be clearly reduced. The basic investigation of the installed clothing can be expanded to include cross-profile measurements of the tension and thickness (former), representation of 3-D moisture and permeability (press), and permeability cross profiles (dryer section). In addition, investigations of wear and contamination on clothing sections that have already run are possible through laboratory analyses.
The clothing audit provides a basis for future improvement measures on the installed fabrics and felts, e.g., fabric conditioning, felt conditioning and cleaning.
