Audit: vacuum systems

Audit: vacuum systems

Increase in energy efficiency and machine efficiency

The audit includes measurements of the vacuum system and highlights any deficits in technology and maintenance. Along with an increase in machine efficiency, energy savings are also possible.

The vacuum system is measured to obtain a database for the vacuum system audit. In the process, the vacuum heights, the amounts of air and the temperatures at the suction points are determined. The values determined allow an assessment of the current operating point. Visual inspection of the vacuum system (water separation, piping, vacuum generators, etc.) highlights any further maintenance issues. Based on these basic data, various suggestions for optimization or improvement are submitted, with an ROI that is often less than two years.

The audit identifies possibilities for optimal operation of vacuum systems in relation to the required vacuum heights at the individual suction points and the vacuum generation units (water ring pumps or compressors).
