BATRO drying simulation

More planning reliability with optimizations and rebuilds

The BATRO drying simulation provides planning reliability with upcoming speed and production increases or rebuilds and helps determine the potential for changes.

All data relevant to drying such as the basis weight, speed, dry contents and steam pressure curve are included in the BATRO drying simulation. The current dryer section geometry (arrangement of cylinders and rolls) and the resulting paper run are considered, followed by two calculation procedures. In a backwards calculation, the heat transfer figures that are specific to the dryer section are calculated. The subsequent forward calculation determines the new production parameters and progress of drying for changed marginal conditions such as geometry and steam pressures.

The potential for changes on drying sections can be identified quickly and easily in the planning phase thanks to the BATRO simulation.
