Pressure vessels and heat exchangers from Voith Industrial Services meet the ASME standard

Voith Industrial Services receives ASME U certification. Expansion of the portfolio for the US and Canadian market, as well as other countries which require pressure-bearing ASME-certified components.
The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) certified the Voith Industrial Services workshop in Mainhausen, Germany for the manufacture of stamped components (U stamp). With the ASME certification, the industry service provider has strengthened its position in the field of special component manufacturing. The ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code is one of the leading standards for the construction, manufacture, and testing of pressure devices and pressure-bearing components. Components certified through the code are used primarily in the USA, Canada, and 100 other countries. Competence according to the ASME code and the associated QA system were confirmed by the authorized inspection agency.

In order to receive the certification, the Voith team implemented an organizational structure and processes in accordance with ASME in a period of four months, with the organization set down in a handbook. The work steps from query to delivery are described in it. This was followed by a two-day audit by the ASME team with examination of the handbook and a test vessel. Audits will be repeated every three years, which means that the certification is valid for three years.
