New contract with ZF in Nanjing, China, for Voith Industrial Services

Voith Industrial Services in China has won a new contract with ZF Steering Jincheng (Nanjing) Co., Ltd. (since January 2015: Robert Bosch Automotive Steering GmbH) in Nanjing, China.
The company develops, produces and sells innovative vane pumps and hydraulic vane pumps for passenger cars and commercial vehicles.

For an initial duration of three years, industrial services providers are responsible for parts cleaning (for example oil lines, cylinders, valves, water cooling tanks) in the workshop and cleaning activities in the periphery of traffic areas. Furthermore, they carry out technical cleaning and janitorial cleaning activities in the water chiller, heat exchanger and air compressor areas, for example.

At an automotive supplier plant, processes are scheduled tightly and every activity must be carried out with the utmost care and attention. To ensure that processes run smoothly and the employees’ safety is not put at risk, one major focus is on cleaning dirty robots, walkways and work stations regularly and professionally. Technical cleaning in the light of increasingly complex facilities, machines and production processes requires a reliable partner whose core business is providing industrial services and who has extensive knowledge of any processes.

The team of Voith Industrial Services identified safety-relevant risks and facility-related issues at ZF in Nanjing and made an offer including possible solutions. “By means of a test presentation of our services, our customer was able to clearly see the difference between before and after – and was convinced of our performance. We are delighted about the contract and the customer’s confidence”, said Jun Lei, Site Manager at Voith Industrial Services in Nanjing, China.

ZF Steering Jincheng (Nanjing) Co., Ltd., a joint venture of ZF Lenksysteme GmbH of Germany and Jincheng Corporation, was founded in 2001 and produces mainly vane pumps and hydraulic vane pumps to meet the growing demand for premium vehicles in China. They require electric steering systems which are designed for greater axle loads. The plant produces for the Asian as well as international car market.

ZF Lenksysteme GmbH (since January 2015: Robert Bosch Automotive Steering GmbH), headquartered in Schwaebisch Gmuend, is a German automotive supplier and one of the world’s leading producers of steering systems.
