CS-Roll
Better wire run due to center-supported roll
The CS roll is a center-supported roll that improves the wire running conditions and allows a uniform wire structure over the width.
Conventional guide rolls influence the structure in the wire. In particular, with heavy deflections the wire advances toward the center of the machine or is pushed together. The fabric of the wire is thus displaced, and uneven dewatering is the result. With their reverse deflection, center-supported CS rolls improve the wire structure over the width and make it more even. The result is an improvement of wire running conditions, particularly in wire tension differences in cross direction and spreading effects.
CS rolls occasionally replace a maintenance-intensive spreader roll. Before installation, the entire wire guide with roll stiffness, enlacements and installation positions are recalculated.
