Optimizing operating parameters, increasing quality

The VPM 5 pilot paper machine is equipped with the latest components for headbox, sheet formation, press and drying tests. It provides ideal testing and development possibilities.

With the VPM at the Ravensburg Paper Technology Center, innovative customer solutions can be investigated and further developed under conditions similar to actual production. Due to the spatial linkage to the Ravensburg Fiber Technology Center, the entire paper manufacturing process from stock preparation to the dried paper can be integrated into the investigations. A comparison of different machine concepts allows an estimate of the potential for improvement. Optimization of operating parameters can therefore contribute to an increase in quality and productivity. In addition, operator training improves the startup curve before initial operation.

The VPM 5 pilot paper machine allows process development with board and packaging paper as well as graphic and specialty paper.
