Friedrich von Voith School is Voith’s bond with local community
The public school's history is closely connected to the social responsibility and cultural inclusion initiatives sponsored by the Voith Brazil Foundation near Voith’s plant in Jaraguá
Named after the founder of the Voith Group, the Friedrich von Voith State School demonstrates the Voith’s bond with the community of the Jaraguá neighborhood, in São Paulo. This is where Voith’s operating unit in Brazil – the company’s first plant outside Europe – is located.
Opened in 1990 as a public school managed by the state of São Paulo, the Friedrich von Voith School’s history is shaped by the social responsibility and cultural inclusion initiatives sponsored by the Voith Brazil Foundation. Among these initiatives is "A Música Venceu" (Music Won), created by maestro João Carlos Martins, which offers music introduction courses to students at the school.
The Voith Brazil Foundation also supports the school with infrastructure improvement projects and regular maintenance services.
