1. Photo competition
As Part of this photo competition Voith is looking for the best photo of the Voith propelled vessels. A jury nominated by Voith will select the winners from all photos and videos submitted. Participation in the photo competition and its implementation are subject to the following terms and conditions.

This photo competition is in no way affiliated with LinkedIn. It is not sponsored, endorsed, or organized by LinkedIn and does not give rise to any claim against LinkedIn. All information in this photo competition is provided solely by the organizer.

2. Organizer
J.M. Voith SE & Co. KG, St. Poeltener Str. 43, 89522 Heidenheim (hereinafter – Voith – ) is the organizer of this competition.

3. Eligible
Eligible are persons who have reached the age of 18 at the time of their participation.

4. Exclusion from participation
Voith reserves the right to exclude persons from participation who violate applicable law and/or this terms of participation by submitting their photo.

5. Participation

5.1 The participant uploads the photo or video with a possible title and the location where the photo or video was taken via LinkedIn with the hashtag “VoithSchneiderPropeller”. In addition the participant fills out the form on the website Voith Schneider Propeller Competition | Voith with the information contained therein about the photographer and the photo.

A jury nominated by Voith will select the winners from all photos and videos submitted. The winners will be informed via E-Mail and announced on the website Voith Schneider Propeller Competition | Voith.

5.2 The photo competition starts from 9^th November 2023 and ends on 5^th August 2024.

6. Prize
The winner will receive a limited addition of the Voith Schneider Propeller book and a voucher for a simulator ride within the premises of Voith. Travel, meals, and any accommodation costs must be covered by the winners. No cash disbursement and/or a replacement of the prizes is possible. Recourse to the courts is not permitted.

7. Rights and ownership

7.1 Any entry must be your original work and it must not infringe the rights of third parties including copyright, trademark, trade secrets, privacy, publicity, personal or proprietary rights. You agree to indemnify Voith (and Voith Group of Companies) against any claim from any third party for any breach of this clause. You shall, at your sole expense, defend or settle against such claims.

7.2 For the avoidance of doubt, by submitting your entry you warrant that all persons featured in your entry have given you their express consent for their image to be used.

7.3 Full copyright title shall be retained by the author of any entry. By submitting your competition entry and any accompanying material (including any text, photographs, graphics, video or audio), you agree that Voith (and Voith Group of Companies) may, but is not required to, make your entry available on its website Voith Schneider Propeller Competition | Voith and any other media in connection with any publicity of the competition or otherwise (including, but not limited to, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook). You agree to grant Voith (and Voith Group of Companies) a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable, royalty-free licence, of any intellectual property rights in the competition entry and any accompanying materials, to use, display, publish, transmit, copy, edit, alter, store, re-format and sub-licence the competition entry and any accompanying materials for any legitimate purposes, including, but not limited to, marketing, publicity, advertising, fundraising and presentations (whether or not it wins the competition) without any further compensation, notice, review or consent.

7.4 Any entry used by Voith (and Voith Group of Companies) will be marked with the appropriate copyright as follows: "© First Name Last Name".

8. Termination
Voith expressly reserves the right to cancel the competition without prior notice and without giving any reasons. This applies in particular to any reasons that disrupt or prevent the photo competition from proceeding as planned or if, for technical reasons, it is not possible to carry out the competition correctly.

9. Privacy
Responsible for data processing with this photo contest is J.M. Voith SE & Co. KG, St. Poeltener Str. 43, 89522 Heidenheim.

In order to participate in this photo competition it is necessary to provide personal data. All entries need to include the photographer´s name, e-mail, and postal address.

Personal data will be processed and stored for the purpose of this photo competition. By participating in this photo competition, the participant consents to the processing and storage of his/her personal data. This consent can be revoked at any time and with effect for the future.

Voith points out that all personal data of the participant will neither be passed on to third parties nor made available to them for use without consent. If a third party contacts Voith and expresses interest in the respective picture or video an independent contract for the transfer of the data shall be concluded with the respective participant.

10. Applicable law
This competition shall be governed exclusively by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany.

11. Exclusion
The organizer shall only be liable for damages incurred by the participants due to material defects of defects of title in the event of malice, intent, and gross negligence. Otherwise, liability due to material defects and defects of title is excluded.
