Cornelius Weitzmann studied industrial engineering at Karlsruhe in Germany and Seville in Spain. He then worked as a project leader and member of the management for a well-known German management consultancy firm from 2002 onwards.
In 2007, Weitzmann moved to Voith, where he took up a management position in strategic planning. 2009, he became Managing director at Voith Paper Inc. in Appleton, USA and in 2011, he was appointed President of Fabric & Roll Systems EMEA.
As a member of the Management Board of Voith Turbo, Cornelius Weitzmann was responsible for the Power, Oil & Gas Division from April 2015, before taking over as Head of the Division Mobility in June 2016.
Since June 1, 2021 Cornelius Weitzmann is a member of the Corporate Board of Management and President & CEO of Voith Turbo.
Chief Financial Officer
After studying industrial engineering at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern, Martin Sieringhaus, joined Voith Turbo in 1999, initially in various controlling and finance functions. In 2002, he took over as the Commercial Manager of the Industry unit for the Crailsheim location, before joining Voith Paper as the CFO in 2006 thereafter becoming the CFO of the global consumables business, Fabrics and Rolls Systems.
From 2011 through to 2014, Martin Sieringhaus worked as CFO Voith Paper Asia in Kunshan, PR China, supporting the organizations’ growth and leading the change process of the Asian group of companies. On his return, he headed the successful group-wide "Voith 150+" project which was completed in late 2015. In 2016, he took over as the CFO of the newly created Group Division "Digital Ventures", which incorporated the areas of automation, digitization and IT.
Since 2018, he has been a Member of the Board of Management of Voith Turbo, responsible for Finance and Controlling.
Dr. Mathias Moertl
Product & Production Technology
After studying mechanical engineering and a couple of years of working within the Automotive industry and consulting, Dr. Mathias Moertl obtained his doctoral degree at TU München in Germany. He then joined the international consultancy company McKinsey & Company Inc. with a focus on operations. Between 2010 and 2015 he held senior positions in the area of industrial engineering as well as operations management for Continental AG and VTC Partners. In 2015, Moertl moved to Voith, where he took up a management position as the COO of the division commercial vehicles, becoming later on the Senior Vice President Manufacturing Plants Turbo and Industrial Engineering Turbo.
Since May 1, 2018, Dr. Mathias Moertl has been a member of Voith Turbo Management Board. After being in charge of the Integrated Supply Chain for more than two years, he has been responsible for the area Product & Production Technology since February 1, 2021.
New Technologies & Development
Martin Kaufmann studied physics at the University of Regensburg, Germany, University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, USA and the Max-Planck-Institute for Solid State Research in Stuttgart, Germany. Additionally, he holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from INSEAD in France. He started his career with a well-known international consulting firm where he worked five years advising clients mainly in the technology but also other sectors with a focus on growth strategies.
In 2005, Kaufmann joined Voith where he owned different management roles at Voith Group and Voith Paper in Heidenheim as well as Voith Paper Inc. in Appleton, USA. Since 2009 Martin Kaufmann worked in different roles with Voith Turbo Industry. He started as CFO, then became Managing Director for Variable Speed Drives, before taking on the responsibility for Product and Project Management of Voith Turbo Industry in 2016.
Since August 1, 2018, Martin Kaufmann is a member of Voith Turbo Management Board, being in charge of New Technologies & Development.
Martin Wawra joined the Voith Group in 1994 as an international sales engineer after studying mechanical engineering at the University of Stuttgart.
From 2001, he was Managing Director of Voith Turbo Scharfenberg GmbH & Co. KG in Salzgitter and has been part of the Voith Turbo management team.
Since 2011, he was responsible in various management positions for the successful development of production and construction in China along important growth projects. He also headed sales for the Mobility division throughout Asia.
He has been a member of the Management Board of Voith Turbo since June 2021 and heads the Mobility Division.
