The Year of the Dragon: Voith Sends Congratulations on Chinese New Year on Company Home Page

Heidenheim, 23/01/2012. People who visit the home page of the Baden-Württemberg family-owned company Voith are currently welcomed with traditional Chinese music and a Chinese New Year's greeting. The Group would like to use the animation to wish its meanwhile 3000 Chinese employees, customers and partners a successful new year, which stands under the sign of the dragon in 2012. In Asian tradition, the dragon is regarded as a bringer of great fortune.
Voith has been placing a Chinese New Year's greeting prominently on its home page since 2011. The greeting was devised by the Group's Chinese Communications Department in Shanghai.

During fiscal 2010/2011 Voith achieved sales of almost one billion Euro in China. The company's first delivery of turbines for a Chinese hydro power plant dates back to 1910. Since 1994, Voith has been represented in China with its own production sites. Following a series of extensive development and infrastructure projects, the company plans further investments.
