b) Services from Google

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a web analysis service from Google Ireland Limited (https://www.google.de/intl/de/about/) (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland; "Google"), to design our website to meet requirements and for its ongoing optimization. Pseudonymized usage profiles are created and cookies are used in this connection. The information generated by the cookie regarding your use of this website such as

  • your browser type/version,
  • the operating system used,
  • the referred URL (the previously visited site),
  • host name of the accessing computer (IP address),
  • the time the request was made to the server,

is transmitted to a server operated by Google in the USA and stored there. The information is used to analyze website usage, compile reports on website activities and provide further services associated with website and internet usage for the purposes of market research and designing these internet sites to meet the needs of users. This information may also be transmitted to third parties if required by law or if this data is processed by third parties under contract. Under no circumstances will your IP address be combined with other data held by Google. The IP addresses will be anonymized so that association is not possible (IP masking). You can prevent cookies from being installed by changing your browser software settings. However, we would point out that, if you do this, the overall user experience of this website and its functions may be limited. You can also prevent the data that the cookies generate about your use of the website (including your IP address) from being collected and processed by Google by downloading and installing a browser add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de). As an alternative to the browser add-on, in particular for browsers on mobile devices, you can click on this link to prevent data from being collected by Google Analytics. An opt-out cookie is set that will prevent your data from being collected when visiting this website. The opt-out cookie is only effective for this browser and only for our website; it is stored on your device. If you delete cookies for this browser, you must set the opt-out cookie again. You can find further information on data protection in relation to Google Analytics in Google Analytics Help (https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de).

DoubleClick

This website also uses the double-click cookie as part of Google Analytics, which recognizes your browser when you visit other websites. The information generated by the cookie regarding your visit to this website is transmitted to one of Google’s servers in the USA, where it is stored. IP anonymization has been activated on this website so that the IP address is truncated before transmission within Member States of the European Union or in other countries which are parties to the European Economic Area agreement. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a server belonging to Google in the USA and truncated there. The anonymized IP address transmitted from your browser as part of Google Analytics is not combined with other data from Google.

Google will use this information to compile reports on website activities and provide further services associated with website usage. Google may also transmit this information to third parties if required by law or if this data is processed by third parties under contract for Google. You can deactivate the use of cookies by Google by making the appropriate cookie settings on Google's website. As an alternative, users can deactivate the use of cookies by third-party providers by calling up the deactivation page for DoubleClick or the deactivation page of NAI (Network Advertising Initiative). You can prevent cookies from being installed by changing your browser software settings. However, we would point out that, if you do this, you may not be able to make full use of this website's functions.

Through its certification in accordance with the EU-US data protection shield ("EU-US Privacy Shield") https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active Google guarantees that the EU's data protection provisions are complied with, even when data is processed in the USA. Usage is lawful under Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

Google Tag Manager

The Google Tag Manager is used on this website. Website tags can be managed via an interface using the Google Tag Manager. The Tag Manager tool itself (which implements the tags) is a domain free from cookies and does not collect any personal data. The tool triggers other tags, which may in turn collect data. The Google Tag Manager does not access this data. If deactivation has been carried out at domain or cookie level, this remains effective for all tracking tags that are implemented using Google Tag Manager.

Google AdWords Conversion

We use the online "Google AdWords" advertising program and the conversion tracking services provided by Google AdWords. Google Conversion Tracking is an analysis service from Google Ireland Limited (https://www.google.de/intl/de/about/) (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland; "Google"). When you click on an advertisement placed by Google, a cookie is set on your computer for conversion tracking. These cookies expire after 30 days, they do not contain any personal data and therefore cannot be used to identify a person. If you visit certain pages on our website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and the website can see that you have clicked on the advertisement and proceeded to that page. Each Google AdWords customer has a different cookie. Therefore, cookies cannot be tracked using the websites of AdWords customers. The information obtained using the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. This tells customers the total number of users who clicked on their advertisement and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that allows users to be identified personally.

If you do not want to participate in tracking, you can opt out of this by changing your browser software setting to prevent the cookie from being installed (deactivation option). By taking this action, you will not be included in the conversion tracking statistics. You can find more information and Google's data protection declaration at: http://www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads/, http://www.google.de/policies/privacy/.

Google Dynamic Remarketing

This website uses Google's remarketing function. The purpose of this function is to show website visitors advertisements within the Google advertising network that are likely to interest them. The website visitor's browser stores "cookies". These are text files that are stored on your computer and allow the website to recognize visitors again when they access the website which is part of Google's advertising network. On these websites the visitor is shown advertisements that relate to content which the visitor has previously accessed on websites that use Google's remarketing function. Google has provided information stating that it does not collect personal data during this process.

However, if you still do not wish to have Google's remarketing function, you can always deactivate this by making the relevant settings at http://www.google.com/settings/ads. Alternatively, you can deactivate the cookies for interest-based advertising via the advertising network initiative by following the instructions at http://www.networkadvertising.org/managing/opt_out.asp. You can find more information on Google Remarketing and Google's data protection declaration at: http://www.google.com/privacy/ads/.

GA Audiences

GA Audiences, a web analysis service from the provider Google Ireland Limited (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland), collects data on this website and stores it. This data is used to produce user profiles with pseudonyms. With this technology, we show users who have already visited our websites and online services targeted advertising from us on other external sites of the Google Partner Network.

For this, a cookie is set on your computer that analyzes user behavior when visiting the website and can then be used for targeted product recommendations and interest-based advertising. No personal data is stored and processed as a result of setting the cookie. If you do not want to receive any interest-based advertising, you can deactivate the use of cookies by Google for this purpose by following these instructions https://www.google.de/settings/ads/onweb#display_optout.
