Fiber recovery

The main requirement on the spray water, apart from appropriate temperature and pH values, is zero fiber content. This is important to prevent blockage of the small spray nozzles on the paper machine.

Fibers can be removed from the whitewater by two different methods: either by filtration or by total flotation. Both machines have specific advantages that are exploited according to process requirements.
