Pressure Valves

The world of hydraulics would be inconceivable without pressure control valves. They limit or control the pressure in hydraulic systems or switch volume flows as a function of signal pressures. We offer four types of pressure valves in our delivery program:

1. Pressure-relief valves
These valves are switching valves. They open at a specified, adjustable pressure.

2. Pressure-reducing valves
These valves are control valves. They keep the output pressure constant regardless of the input pressure. The output pressure is adjustable and lower than the input pressure.

3. Check valves
These valves are switching valves. They allow flow in one direction and block it in the opposite direction.

4. Accumulator charging valves
These valves are primarily intended for regulating the charging process of hydraulic accumulators in hydraulic systems with fixed displacement pumps. After reaching a specified (switch-off) pressure, the valve opens and switches the pump to unpressurized circulation. The switch-off pressure can be adjusted within a specific pressure range. If the system pressure drops below a specified switch-on pressure, the pump charges the hydraulic accumulator again until the switch-off pressure is reached. Selectable fixed switching hysteresis curves provide optimum system matching.
Our product portfolio also includes complete, standardized accumulator charging units. These can be quickly and easily integrated into your system. This reduces your development times and saves you development costs.

Voith pressure valves are distinguished by an extraordinarily high dynamic behavior and precise switching points. Regarding damping properties, our motto is: "As little as possible but as much as necessary." With our valves, you increase the operational reliability of your hydraulic system.

Advantages and benefits

Features Advantages Benefits
Pressure-relief valves, pressure-reducing valves, check valves
  • Direct control, spring loaded valves.
  • Small moving masses.
  • The valves have a very high dynamic response and prevent the occurrence of pressure peaks.
  • The lifetime of all components in your hydraulic system increases.
  • Design optimized damping behavior.
  • The changes in volume flow are smooth but quick; pressure surges do not occur.
  • The lifetime of all components in your hydraulic system increases.
  • Noise emissions are low.
  • A good control characteristics provides a stable output pressure, particularly for pressure-reducing valves.
  • The process quality in your system is consistently high.
Accumulator charging valves
  • Design optimized damping behavior.
  • The changes in volume flow are smooth but quick; pressure surges do not occur.
  • The lifetime of all components in your hydraulic system increases.
  • Noise emissions are low.
  • The valve components are optimally matched to one another.
  • Switching hysteresis curves of 5% to 20% can be realized economically.
  • Four switching hysteresis curves are available as standard. They allow you to design accumulator charging circuits that operate efficiently and are optimally adapted to your system.
  • Pilot controlled valve.
  • Volume flows of up to 180 l/min can easily be implemented.
  • If your system requires high volume flows, you save on components and the associated costs.
