Due to its compact design, which makes it ideal for even the smallest installation spaces, the transmission offers essential advantages in combination with low operating costs.

The T 211 re.4 has been updated for use with the new generation of 6-cylinder diesel engines: With a transmission input power rating of 350 kW. And with the new Voith Turbo Drive Control (VTDC). It is mounted directly to the transmission and logs operating data. In addition, it now features a monitoring and diagnostics function. Optionally available: the hydrodynamic brake that can be integrated (blended) into the vehicle's braking system.

The T 212 bre features an integrated retarder. It is ideal for high-speed railcars with underfloor design that achieve maximum speeds of up to 200 km/h in single and multiple traction. Preferably for drives in underfloor arrangements. Power takeoff optional.

T 311 bre turbo transmission  – Established, save, reliable

The T 311 bre is characterized by fast acceleration and a long service life. Like its 3-speed T 312 bre counterpart, the T 311 bre is also controlled electronically. Rapid transmission disengagement effectively prevent wheel spin. Constant-speed control for travel at low speeds, e. g. through washing systems, is possible. Shifting takes place automatically, without interruption of tractive effort – jolt- and wear-free.

The high efficiency and input power of up to 650 kW make the T 312 bre a state-of-the-art transmission for high-speed railcars that achieve speeds up to 220 km/h. It excels with its smooth, almost wear-free starting. Automatic and stepless adaptation of the tractive effort to the prevailing rolling resistance. The transmission is insensitive to vibrations as well as thermal and mechanical overloads. Especially convincing: its service life of over 1.2 million kilometers until the first major overhaul – depending on service conditions.

L 220 re(s)e V2 + KB 190 – Great performance in the smallest possible space

350 kW maximum transmission input power

With four PTOs the L 220 re(s)e V2 + KB 190 allows with a transmission input power of 350 kW the direct installation of high-performance hydrostatic pumps. Our turbo transmission offers convincing performance even in the shunting mode. The range-change gearing is designed for two speed ranges and ensures high starting tractive effort. Thanks to automatic centering, towing at 1.6 times the rated speed is not a problem either.


L 311 reV2 turbo transmission – One transmission for drive and seven auxiliary systems

The L 311 reV2 turbo transmission has been specially developed for track laying and special vehicles as well as small locomotives with a maximum speed of 120 km/h and a transmission input power of 300 to 650 kW. Up to eight power takeoffs (PTOs) available. Performance at the highest level.

L 520 rzU2 turbo transmission  - Our high-speed record

As early as its use in the Spanish Talgo high-speed train in 1998, the L 520 rzU2 achieved the record speed of 254 km/h. And even today, the 2-speed turbo transmission with hydrodynamic torque converter is the best alternative for push-pull concepts. Shifting takes place automatically. Without interruption of tractive effort. Smoothly and without jolts. Maximum transmission input power 1 400 kW.

DIWARail hydromechanical transmission – The model for minimal wear around the world

More than 4 000 hydromechanical transmissions sold. Flexibly applicable: The DIWA Rail with parallel shaft reversing transmission

Originally at home in city buses, the DIWA Rail is now the best-selling hydromechanical transmission in the 320-kW Class. The contra-rotating differential converter acting as a brake reduce wear significantly. Use of a power-splitting principle (via differential converter in 1st gear, and mechanically up to 4th gear), makes the DIWA Rail ideal for economical operation of rail vehicles with optimized consumption figures. The current version also allows towing while the engine is switched off.

State-Of-The-Art Control and Diagnostic Systems

Electronic control systems must rapidly transmit operational data and diagnostic information via data networks. They communicate with the vehicle bus. They support the user with carefully analyzed operating, monitoring, and diagnostic concepts as well as standardized communication protocols. Their configuration tools link various components in an easy and simple manner.
