With Voith into the Future: 63 Young People to Start Apprenticeship

Heidenheim. Last Monday, 63 young men and women started their apprenticeship at Voith in Heidenheim. The company currently offers training for a total of 13 different jobs. The bandwidth ranges from technical occupations such as industrial mechanics and production technology to various commercial jobs like industrial administrator, office communications administrator, IT specialist for systems integration or hotel management. A new item on the list of courses on offer is a career as machine and plant operator.

The new apprentices and their parents were greeted on their first day at Voith by Regine Rendle, Manager Commercial Apprenticeships, and Erwin Krajewski, Manager Technical Apprenticeships. "At Voith, professionalism, emotional competency and performance expertise are the prerequisites for qualified employees to do their job successfully and confidently. For this reason, Voith makes absolutely sure that its trainee and apprenticeship program meets the highest demands," this is how Regine Rendle described the importance of professional training in her address to the new Voithians. Erwin Krajewski added: "Apart from offering outstanding technical training in a modern machine park, the Voith training team always aims at promoting each and every apprentice in accordance with his or her potential."

The second-year apprentices also played an active role on the induction day for the new trainees. They outlined to their new colleagues what really counts in professional life. Trainee Daniel Ziliack encouraged the newcomers: "Anybody who sits down and studies has a clear advantage. It is a matter of enjoying the learning process, approaching work enthusiastically and overcoming obstacles."

The 2013 recruitment campaign for apprentices at Voith is already in full swing. The deadline for applications for training courses starting next year is 30 September 2012.
