Zellcheming Expo 2019: Voith showcases innovations for the future of papermaking
- Voith presents BlueLine and XcelLine technology: Top performance by full-line supplier for paper manufacturing
- Papermaking 4.0 - Experience virtual reality solutions live at the Voith stand
- Presentation of the comprehensive Servolution service concept in special exhibition area
- Presentations on 26 June on the topics “Networked paper machines and the race for IT security” and “The SmoothRun hydropneumatic damping bearing system for two-drum winders”
At the same time, Voith draws attention to its expertise as a full-line supplier for paper manufacturing. With the BlueLine stock preparation lines and the XcelLine paper machines, Voith has each area of paper manufacturing covered. All the components of the systems are made to fit together precisely, thus enabling smooth and efficient production.
Screen baskets become SmartBaskets
Another of the innovations to be presented in Frankfurt is the SmartBasket app. Thanks to Voith integrating a RFID chip into all new screen baskets, the app simplifies identification of the basket for inventory management. Details such as run time, location or storage location are recorded in SmartBasket and there is an option for the user to access this information via a web-based cockpit solution.
CleanLine Extract 4D for gently cleaning dryer fabrics
At the stand, visitors can also see first-hand the CleanLine Extract 4D cleaning system for fabrics in the dryer section. Its innovative cleaning process helps to remove even the slightest contamination with raw fiber, fillers, additives or other extraneous material and therefore reduce broke.
Presentation on the security of networked paper machines
As part of the Expo, Dr. Matthias W. Schmitt, Director Optimization Solutions at Voith, will give a presentation on “Networked paper machines and the race for IT security” on June 26 at 3.30 pm. The presentation centers on security risks that arise when connecting networked control and data systems to the internet.
New Servolution solutions on the “Road of Maintenance”
Voith will showcase the recently developed EvoStretch ball bearing with self-healing function in special exhibition area C.14. Within the new EvoStretch ball bearing, one or two ceramic balls polish the surfaces, which results in significantly higher wear resistance than with conventional bearings.
Visitors can also find out about possible applications via the OnCare.Asset remote service. With the help of OnCare.Asset, maintenance activities and replacement parts requirements can be predicted, conveniently planned and efficiently carried out. As a result, maintenance is faster, safer and more cost-effective.
In the Showcase Arena within the special exhibition area, there will also be a lecture on June 26 at 10:30 am by Stefan Hübner, Head of Competence Center Winders at Voith Paper, on the SmoothRun hydropneumatic damping bearing system for two-drum winders.
