Voith received first order for retrofit of AeroMaXX technology in the air separation industry in China
- The existing Voith parallel shaft gear unit will be upgraded with Voith AeroMaXX technology.
- It will help to significantly increase efficiency by decreasing power loss and oil consumption.
- Conducted simulations have shown significant energy savings for the customer, a global player headquartered in Europe.

Reduction of power loss and oil consumption
AeroMaXX technology minimizes losses by separating lubrication and cooling, with no additional accessories needed due to its passive mechanical construction. Such losses usually appear at high pitch line velocities of up to 200 m/s when the oil swirls and squeezes into the gear mesh. The solution has a passive-mechanical character and requires no additional accessories. Operators profit from identical design standards, unchanged overall operating behavior and maximum reliability.
