Voith awards $3,000 CAD in scholarships to Hawkesbury-area students
- The students were from two schools: École secondaire publique Le Sommet and École secondaire catholique régionale de Hawkesbury
- Students were selected based on several criteria, including academic excellence, generosity, involvement in school life and a number of other outstanding traits and accomplishments
- Voith operates a paper industry service facility in Hawkesbury that employs about 40
“We are incredibly proud to be able to award these students for their dedication and hard work,” explained Richard Berry, Senior Vice President Sales, Voith Paper Fabric & Roll Systems, North America. “The students selected for these scholarships have established themselves as the best in the Hawkesbury region.”
Two schools, École secondaire publique Le Sommet and École secondaire catholique régionale de Hawkesbury, were selected to distribute three scholarships each. The administrators of each school chose the recipients based on various criteria, including academic excellence, generosity and involvement in school life.
École secondaire publique Le Sommet selected Lily-Ann Dupelle, Simon Levac and Macarena Rico.
École secondaire catholique régionale de Hawkesbury selected Myriame Charbonneau, Catherine Vaillant and another qualified student who wished to remain anonymous.
