Voith Receives Order for Hydropower Plant in Turkey

Voith has received a major order for equipping the new hydropower plant Upper Kaleköy in Turkey. The company will be delivering three Francis turbines each rated at 202 MW as well as the associated equipment.
The project on behalf of the energy supplier Kalehan Enerji is realized by a consortium, the total order volume for Voith amounts to more than €30 million. The new project Upper Kaleköy as part of a cascade of four storage plants is the second project on the Murat River in Eastern Turkey: Voith currently also implements Beyhan-1 hydropower plant, which is situated further downstream and also part of a consortium.
