Voith awarded service contract for hydropower generator modernization project in the Canadian province of Manitoba
Canada is one of the largest producers of hydropower: The installed capacity amounts to 73 GW and its share of the country’s total electricity supply is almost 65 percent. The country is also one of the most mature hydropower markets in the world: With an installed fleet of approximately 1,500 units and an average age of these facilities of around 60 years, the country offers great and enduring opportunities for the services and modernization business in hydropower.
