York, Pa. (Feb. 9, 2018) – Voith Paper is taking tissue production to the next level by showcasing its latest products, services and technologies at Tissue World 2018 from March 20 to 23 at the Miami Beach Convention Center.

Visitors to booth K100 can learn more about Papermaking 4.0 and Voith’s state-of-the-art XcelLine tissue machines, as well as the company’s extensive portfolio of machine components; fabrics and roll systems; and tailored service packages. Highlights at the show include:

  • Papermaking 4.0 for higher efficiency, productivity and quality
All technologies, components, and services of the XcelLine tissue machine are coordinated and integrated with each other guaranteeing excellent performance over the entire lifecycle of the tissue machine.

Voith is exhibiting its networked solutions to increase the efficiency, productivity and quality of the entire paper production process supply chain. Systems including OnCare and OnEfficiency are solutions attributed to the Papermaking 4.0 concept.

  • Cost-efficient product and service combinations
Voith’s AdvancedPRODUCTS offer the ideal combination of products that work perfectly together to improve the tissue manufacturing process and maximize savings.

Also, with the NipcoFlex T shoe press for tissue, up to 5 percent higher dryness can be achieved compared  to a configuration of suction roll pressed against the Yankee or earlier shoe press generations.

  • Improved felt measurement and conditioning
With a functioning model on display at Voith’s booth, visitors will get a hands-on look at ProTect, which increases safety during press fabric measurements. The system consists of a self-propelled carriage, fixture and traverse beams that ensure a precise measurement of fabric moisture and permeability at various sites. It can be used with all commercially-available manual measurement devices without endangering the personnel.

FilmLube ensures uniform Uhle box lubrication at all times achieving even press felt conditioning, water savings and improved paper quality. On a single-width tissue machine, FilmLube uses less than 1.5 cubic meters of water per hour. The targeted application of water ensures that less lubricating water collects next to the machine, reducing the risk of slipping and making work on the machine safer.

  • Fiber Systems for dewatering
Pioneering dewatering with HiCon2.0 and Bagless Plus technology, the InfiltraDiscfilter (IDF) operates without any filter bags. IDF disc filters ensure a reliable and almost maintenance-free operation. In addition, the TwinFlo TF.E refiner with Pluralis filling effectively handles various fibers through its extensive assortment of fittings, allowing suitable refining plate availability for nearly every application.

  • OnSite Yankee Service for safety, maintenance and service
With OTR Precise and MiniGrinder, Voith is offering tissue manufacturers a technology for reliably identifying deformations on the surface of a Yankee cylinder. The system uses a precise measurement of tensile force and a 3D measuring process to eliminate the influences of vibration producing a topographical map of the Yankee cylinder surface. This is done at a precision that sets a new benchmark for the industry.

“As a strong partner to tissue producers, we’re excited to share all of our latest products and technologies at Tissue World,” said Richard Berry, senior vice president of sales, Voith Paper. “From advanced components and durable fabrics and rolls to complete XcelLine tissue machines, our customers can count on higher efficiency, productivity, quality and safety.”
