Andreas Endters

President & CEO Voith Paper,

Andreas Endters is President & CEO of Voith Paper and Member of the Corporate Board of Management of Voith GmbH & Co. KGag, roles he has held since October 1, 2017.

From September 2024 to March 2025, he additionally assumed the role of Interim Head of Group Executive Management of Voith GmbH & Co. KGaA.

Mr. Endters brings more than three decades of international leadership experience within the Voith Group. He has held senior management positions at Voith Paper and Voith Hydro, including responsibility for the Business Line Projects, the Paper Machines business, and global project execution in the Large Hydro segment.

He began his professional career in 1991 after completing a degree in Industrial Engineering and has held various executive roles within the Voith Group since the mid-1990s.

Andreas Batzer has served as CFO and Member of the Management Board of Voith Paper since March 2025. In this role, he is responsible for the company’s financial strategy and drives sustainable and innovative business development.

Prior to his current position, Andreas Batzer was Senior Vice President and CFO of the Voith Turbo Division, Rail & Marine, from January 2024 to February 2025, where he played a key role in the successful restructuring of the Mobility business. From June 2022 to December 2023, he served as Senior Vice President and CFO of the Voith Turbo Mobility Division in Shanghai and Heidenheim, strengthening the company’s competitiveness. Earlier, he acted as Managing Director and CFO of Voith Turbo China in Shanghai, overseeing local financial operations.

Andreas Batzer began his career at Voith in 2005 in Corporate Development. He subsequently held various senior finance positions, including CFO of Voith Composites and Voith Materials. He also made a significant contribution as CFO in establishing the joint venture with CRRC in Beijing.

Andreas Batzer holds degrees from Kettering University, Flint/USA, and Reutlingen University, Germany.

Ralf Sorg

Ralf Sorg has been a member of the Board of Management of Voith Paper since October 2022 and assumed the role of President, Division Projects, in July 2024.

He joined Voith Holding in 2019 as Senior Vice President Group Planning & Controlling, where he was responsible for Corporate Controlling, Accounting, Investments, and Risk Management. In 2016, Ralf Sorg moved to Voith Paper’s operations as Regional President for Products & Services in the EMEA region. Previously, he was appointed CFO of the Products & Services Division in 2012.

From 2001 to 2011, he held various finance and accounting roles at Voith Holding as well as at Voith Hydro and Voith Paper, including international assignments in the US, Austria, and the Netherlands.

Ralf Sorg holds a degree in business administration and completed a commercial apprenticeship before joining Voith in 2001.

Martin Bassmann

Martin Baßmann has been a member of the Management Board of Voith Paper and Head of the Fabric & Roll Systems Division since July 2024.

Previously, he was responsible for the Products & Services business in the EMEA region, first as Senior Vice President Sales & Marketing EMEA from 2013, and then as Head of Products & Services EMEA from September 2019. In 2010, Martin Baßmann was appointed Managing Director and Vice President Sales for Fabrics & Roll Systems Europe.

He began his career at Voith in 2001 as Sales Director Europe in the former Service division, later moving to the Rolls business.

Martin Baßmann holds a degree in mechanical engineering. From 1992 to 2001, prior to joining Voith, he worked for Xerium/Stowe Woodward AG (now Andritz AG) as Operations Manager and later as Sales Director Europe for roll services.

Dr. Juergen Abraham

President Voith Paper Products & Services

 

Dr. Juergen Abraham has been a member of the Management Board of Voith Paper since April 2019. As Digital Business Officer, he is responsible for the internal digitization, e-commerce, and digital products of the Group Division. In July 2019, he additionally assumed the role of President, Division Products & Services, and oversees digitalization initiatives at Voith Paper.

Prior to this, Dr. Abraham was responsible for developing the e-commerce strategy, as well as the service and spare parts portfolio of the Products & Services Division, alongside his management board responsibilities from 2017.

In 2007, he took on a leadership role at Voith subsidiary SynStrand in North America for three years, followed by positions as Vice President New Business & Research, Senior Vice President Development Fabric & Roll Systems, and member of the Fabric & Roll Systems Management Team. He joined the Voith Group in October 2006 as Project Manager for Research & Development.

Dr. Juergen Abraham studied chemistry at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg and the University of Loughborough, and holds a doctorate in nano-reinforced plastics.

Dr. Michael Weiß

Dr. Michael Weiss
 

Dr. Michael Weiß has been a member of the Management Board of Voith Paper, overseeing Technology, since February 2022. Prior to this, he served as Vice President New Business & Research from 2017, leading innovation management, the simulation department, and the central laboratory. From 2015, he headed the simulation department in R&D, continuously expanding its scope. Between 2012 and 2015, Dr. Weiß managed the development of Voith Paper’s wastewater technologies as Senior R&D Manager.

Dr. Weiß began his career at Voith Paper in 2006 as a development engineer in R&D. He holds a degree in process engineering from RWTH Aachen University and earned his doctorate in chemical engineering from the University of Oxford, UK, in 2004. Following this, he worked as a Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellow at Veolia’s Water Research Center in France.
