Voith is shocked by the news that Nelson García, also a member of the COPINH, has been killed in Honduras. We insistently call on the Honduran authorities to do everything to thoroughly solve the violent deaths of Nelson García and Berta Cáceres, and bring those responsible for those crimes to justice.

As already stated on March 11, 2016, we put the further execution of the project Agua Zarca under scrutiny and are in close dialog with our customer Desarrollos Energéticos S.A. (DESA) about this in order to consider further actions. We are also in contact with the financing project partners for the same reason.

Voith condemns any kind of violence. We do not tolerate any unlawful behavior towards individuals.
