Making innovations to prepare for series production

Test technology is a question of trust. Voith contributes in many cases to innovations that prepare for series production. The goal is to ensure functionality and availability of the test rig in the development stage. This is done through torsional vibration calculations that permit an estimate of the stresses that occur in the driveline of the test rig. The focus here includes alternating torques, power losses, angular accelerations, etc. and their influence on the lifetime of the test stand components. The operator profits from reduced life cycle costs for a reliably running test rig – and from a rapidly progressing development process.

The innovations tested today will come into use tomorrow, for example, in motor vehicles, rail vehicles, construction machines, and many other drives. In addition to development test stands, Voith also supplies drive solutions for series test stands.
