Testing the Technology of the Future

All eyes are at the simulation: within the fraction of a second, the engine reaches the required number of revolutions per minute. First 600, then 1 000, then 900, then 2 500. The test goes up to 10 000 revolutions, up and down, measuring point for measuring point. The task is to establish the natural frequency of the engine: the critical point where the vibrations get out of control. Voith offers solutions that allow to shift resonance frequencies.
