APP board machine in Guangxi operates successfully

Headbox: 2 x MasterJet F, 1 x MasterJet F with ModuleJet

Press: Triple NipcoFlex press
The water is mechanically removed from the paper in the press section. The press concept of the Triple NipcoFlex press is unique in that it uses three NipcoFlex presses. In the first two nips, the proven Tandem NipcoFlex concept is used with two felts in each case. In the third nip, another singly-felted NipcoFlex press is used. This concept allows the highest dry content and thus low energy consumption as well as optimal smoothness with a closed web run, and finally the best runnability.
Dryer section: CombiDuoRun pre- and after-dryer section
In the dryer section, the remaining water has to be steamed out by being heated. The paper web is led over dryer cylinders that are heated from the inside with steam. At the end of the drying process the paper has a residual moisture content of 7 to 8%.
Coating units: SpeedSizer AT, 4 DynaCoat AT
The SpeedSizer AT improves the surface strength and bending stiffness by application of size on both sides. Another step toward the best surface quality is taken by using the proven DynaCoat AT coating units. Drying the surface is done by a combination of infrared and hot air. In addition, an infrared dryer is used for the final optimization of the CD moisture profile.
Calender: EcoCal Delta 1x2, EcoSoft Delta 1x3
The outstanding surface quality and printability of ivory board is essentially determined by pre-calendering of the unprocessed board before the coating machine. The innovative EcoCal Plus calender combines for the first time an oil-heated hard nip calender with an external induction heating system and a nozzle moisturizer. The results are significant savings of raw materials and noticeably improved surface characteristics. An EcoSoft Delta calender with two soft nips before the reel is used for uniform surface and improved board gloss.
Reel: Sirius
With the Sirius, the board is wound up from the core to the periphery of the roll in a gentle and controlled fashion, with a winding diameter of up to 4.6 meters. The reel spool parent rolls have a width of 8.1 meters and weight up to 135 metric tons. Upon reaching the desired full diameter, the reel spool is automatically changed.
Winder: 2 x VariFlex, incl. roll handling
The VariFlex winder works in accordance with the winder drum principle and offers the ideal solution for all board grades produced on the Guangxi BM 1. So as to prevent malfunctions when further processing the board, the two winders are equipped with an integrated cutting dust exhaust unit.
