I believe the target audience has been very well chosen. The people here are the decision-makers in their companies, making it an ideal event for networking. As a customer we very much welcome this event as well as Voith's move to reposition itself following its restructuring. An important proposition is Voith’s offer to sit down with its customers to discuss their needs and requests. Recognizing what is important for our products and taking the entire supply chain into account is the best way for Voith to support us with our efforts to achieve further growth. The sector has consolidated and what we have to do now is to exploit the strengths of paper, like its sustainability, functionality and recycling capacity.

It’s a great event. I appreciate that we have seen a joint company talking to the customers, not just several departments. For me it is also very important to hear from the company leaders what their solutions are and what one of the largest and most advantaged suppliers can provide for its customers. It’s good to hear specifically from the CEO of the company, Bertram Staudenmaier, what Voith thinks about the developments of the markets. They are not just trying to sell equipment or a solution. They are also looking at how the market is evolving and how they can make their customers succeed in it.

The international focus of the event combined with the excellent weather and of course perfect organization offer an ideal framework for informal exchanges. The format and ambience are exceptional. It is also good that there are participants here from all areas of the paper sector and that the tissue segment is also well represented. Today we have seen that Voith as a company has all the necessary resources to play a leading role in the future as well. My personal conviction is that in the next 10 to 15 years crucial advances will be made in the fields of sensors, automation and robotics. This is where Voith can be the driving force for the entire industry. The first examples of the integration of Industry 4.0 into the paper market are very interesting.

My impressions of the event are very positive. I see Voith as being at the forefront of the market. The solutions presented here today are very convincing and point in the right direction. Of course the paper markets will continue to develop differently, so it is good that Voith is offering solutions for packaging paper machines as well as for the tissue segment.
