Voith Hydro Board of Management

Uwe Wehnhardt

    Chairman Voith Hydro

    After studying industrial engineering at Esslingen Technical University, Uwe Wehnhardt joined Procter & Gamble in Crailsheim in 1989 to take up various production-related functions, followed by an appointment as Senior Departmental Manager for HR and Production. He also worked as Plant Manager for Procter & Gamble in Budapest, Hungary, and in Istanbul, Turkey.

    In 2002 Uwe Wehnhardt moved to Alfred Kärcher GmbH & Co. KG in Winnenden. He started out as Director for Logistics and Production, followed by an appointment as Director Category Management Consumer Products.

    In 2007 Uwe Wehnhardt joined Voith Paper Rolls GmbH & Co. KG, Heidenheim as Executive Vice President, in charge of the European market. In 2010, his tasks were extended to also cover the Division Fabrics Europe. Uwe Wehnhardt has been a Member of the Management Board of Voith Hydro since 2011, in charge of Order to Cash, covering Operations and Project Management as well as Purchasing.

    Since January 1, 2016, he has been a member of the Corporate Board of Management and chairman of the Management Board of Voith Hydro.

    Dr. Norbert Riedel

      Central Technology

      After completing his degree in aerospace engineering at Technische Universität München (TUM) Dr. Norbert Riedel worked as a research assistant at the TUM's Institute of Hydraulic Machinery and Plants. He received his doctorate degree from the TU München in 1997.

      In 1998, he joined Voith Hydro as a development engineer and held various positions in the Corporate Technology division. In 2003, he became head of Group Division IT and went on to become Chief Information Officer.

      From 2006 onwards, Dr. Riedel worked in the USA as a Chief Engineer at Voith Hydro York, where he was responsible for the engineering of generators, turbines, automation and plant projects for the new system and modernisation business.

      In 2011, Dr. Riedel became President and Managing Director of the international Voith Hydro Engineering Center (VHEC). He has been in charge of the Central Technology division since 2013.



      Dr. Tobias Keitel 

        OTC (Order to Cash)

        After studying industrial engineering continued by a doctorate  at the Technische Universität Berlin and completion of a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at École Supérieure de Commerce in Paris Dr. Tobias Keitel worked for Boston Consulting Group and MAN Ferrostal AG.

        Dr. Keitel joined Voith Hydro in 2010 as project manager. Since 2011 he held various management positions and became head of the Business Unit Large Hydro New in 2014.

        Since 2016 he has been a Member of the Management Board of Voith Hydro, where he is in charge of the Division OTC (Order to Cash) covering Operations and Project Management as well as Purchasing.

        Martin Andrä

          Sales, Marketing, Product Management and After Market Business

          After studying electrical engineering at the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg and the Technische Universität München, he held various senior management positions at Siemens AG in Erlangen and Brazil from 1983 to 2000.

          In 2000 he joined Voith Siemens Hydro Kraftwerkstechnik GmbH & Co. KG and became Chairman of the Board in 2003.

          In 2010 Martin Andrä was appointed President and CEO of Voith Hydro Shanghai Ltd. in China. Since 2015 he has been a Member of the Management Board of Voith Hydro, where he is in charge of Sales, Marketing and Product Management.

          Stefan Schröder

            Finance and Controlling

            After studying business management at Niederrhein Technical University in Mönchengladbach, he worked as a consultant at PME Project Management Eschbach GmbH in Mönchengladbach from 1990 to 1991. In 1992 Stefan Schröder joined ABB Calor Emag Schaltanlagen AG in Ratingen to head the division Controlling and Accounting.

            In 1996 he moved on to the ABB subsidiary in Seoul, South Korea, to take on a position Manager Information Systems and oversee the countrywide introduction of an integrated company software system. Afterwards he held several senior commercial posts in Ladenburg, Mannheim and in Switzerland. His last position took him to ABB in Zurich, where he worked as head of controlling of the globally active business division "Power Generation."

            In 2009 Stefan Schröder joined Voith in Heidenheim as a Member of the Management Board of the Group Division Voith Hydro, where he is responsible for Finance and Controlling.
