Joint Responsibility for Voith

The Corporate Board of Management is responsible for the strategic orientation of the Voith Group and steers the company.

Dr. Hubert Lienhard

President & CEO

After obtaining a doctorate in chemistry he started his career in 1981 at Lurgi GmbH, working for the company for several years in Scotland and the USA. In 1989 Dr. Lienhard moved on to ABB in Mannheim, where he was initially in charge of the steam turbine business. From 1994 Dr. Lienhard was a board member of ABB AG. Two years later, the company appointed him as leader of the worldwide steam power plant business of ABB and as a board member of the power station division of ABB Ltd. Zürich.

In 2001 Dr. Lienhard became a member of the Voith Management Board and headed the Group Division Voith Hydro from 2002 until 2008. Since 2008 he has been President and CEO of the Corporate Management Board.

Dr. Lienhard is a member of the Supervisory Board of the graphite and carbon specialist SGL Group, the Baden-Württemberg energy supplier EnBW, the precious metals and technology company Heraeus as well as of the plant and mechanical engineering company SMS Group. Lienhard is a member of the Restricted Board of the VDMA, an Executive Board Member of the German Asia-Pacific Business Association (OAV), a member of the German-Indian Advisory Group and a member of the China-German Dialog Forum. On 3 February 2014 Hubert Lienhard assumed the Chair of the Asia Pacific Committee of German Business (APA).

Dr. Hermann Jung

Member of the Corporate Board of Management, responsible for Finance and Controlling

He studied industrial engineering at Darmstadt Technical University from 1975 to 1981, continued by a doctorate at the Chair for Business Management and Controlling under Prof. Horváth at Stuttgart University from 1981 until 1984. In 1985 he joined Voith as a trainee.

After various senior positions at Voith in USA and Brazil, Dr. Hermann Jung returned to Voith in Heidenheim in 1991 as Divisional Vice President Finance and Accounting. In 1994 he was appointed as CFO of the Group Division Voith Paper, followed by an appointment as CFO of the Management Board of Voith GmbH.

Dr. Hermann Jung is a member of the supervisory board of Koenig & Bauer AG as well a member of the Advisory Board of Commerzbank AG, BayernLB and Gerling/HDI. He is also a member of the Administrative Board of Dachser GmbH & Co. KG.

Dr. Hermann Jung (*1955) has been a member of the Corporate Board of Management since 2000, and he is responsible for the Division Finance and Controlling.

Dr. Hans-Peter Sollinger

Member of the Corporate Board of Management,
Chairman of the Management Board of Voith Paper

After studying mechanical engineering, Dr. Sollinger worked initially for Continental Forest Industries in Augusta, USA, and later on as design engineer for Feldmühle AG in Düsseldorf.

In 1982 Dr. Sollinger joined Voith as project engineer for coating machines. After various senior functions he took over the responsibility for the Division Paper Machines in 1994. In the same year he was appointed as member of the Management Board of the Group Division Voith Paper. Since 2005 he has been heading this Group Division as CEO.

Dr. Sollinger is a member of the Advisory Board of Carl Edelmann GmbH, Heidenheim.

Dr. Hans-Peter Sollinger (*1953) has been a member of the Corporate Board of Management since 2000 and is responsible for the Group Division Voith Paper.

Martin Hennerici

Member of the Corporate Board of Management, Chairman of the Management Board of Voith Industrial Services

Martin Hennerici studied economics and joined Voith in 1988 as a trainee. After holding a number of senior commercial positions at Voith in Brazil and the USA he returned to Voith in Heidenheim in 1997 as Executive Vice President in the Group Division Voith Paper. In 2001 Martin Hennerici was appointed to the Management Board of the Voith affiliate company DIW AG. In 2004 he became a member of the Corporate Management Board of Voith GmbH, where he is in charge of the Group Division Voith Industrial Services.

Martin Hennerici is the Chairman of the Regional Association of Baden-Württemberg e.V. (LVI) and board member of the Association for Industrial Services e.V. (WVIS).

Martin Hennerici (*1959) has been a member of the Management Board of Voith GmbH since 2001, and he is responsible for Voith Industrial Services.

Bertram Staudenmaier

Member of the Corporate Board of Management, responsible for the business Division Fabric & Roll Systems at Voith Paper

After an apprenticeship in metal processing Bertram Staudenmaier studied production technology at Ulm Technical University from 1984. After various posts in industry, for example at BTR/Stowe Woodward AG in Düren and Stowe Woodward North America in Westborough, USA, he moved on to the Xerium Group in 2001, where he was responsible for the entire North America business from 2003.

In 2005 Bertram Staudenmaier joined Voith as a member of the Management Board and assumed responsibility for the Business Division "Fabric & Roll Systems“ within the Group Division Voith Paper.

Bertram Staudenmaier is a board member of the Technical Association for Printing and Paper Technology within the VDMA.

Bertram Staudenmaier (*1961) has been a member of the Management Board of Voith GmbH since 2005.

Dr. Roland Münch

Member of the Corporate Board of Management, Chairman of the Management Board of Voith Hydro

After studying electrical engineering at The Fridericiana University in Karlsruhe, Dr. Roland Münch worked as a scientific assistant at the Institute for General Electric Engineering and High-Voltage Technology at RWTH Technical University Aachen, where he also obtained his doctorate in 1990.

In 1991 Dr. Münch joined the ABB Group as a design engineer. After various senior positions he was appointed as President of ABB Calor Emag Schaltanlagen AG, Mannheim in 1998. In 1999 he went to ABB Malaysia as CEO und Country Manager.

In 2002 Dr. Münch joined the Voith Paper Management Board, assuming responsibility for the paper technology activities of Jagenberg AG, following the company's acquisition by Voith. In October 2002 he took over as Head of the Business Division Voith Paper Automation. In 2006 he was appointed to the Management Board of Voith GmbH and he has been in charge of the Group Division Voith Hydro since 2008.

Dr. Roland Münch is Vice President of the International Hydropower Association and Member of the Board of the Hydro Equipment Association.

Dr. Roland Münch (*1959) has been a member of the Management Board of Voith GmbH since 2006, and he has been Chairman of the Management Board of the Group Division Voith Hydro since 2008.

Carsten J. Reinhardt

Member of the Corporate Board of Management, Chairman of the Management Board of Voith Turbo

Carsten J. Reinhardt holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University of Esslingen, Germany and a Master of Science degree in Automobile Engineering from the University of Hertfordshire, U.K.
Mr. Reinhardt
started his professional career in 1993 in the Commercial Vehicle Division of Daimler AG in Stuttgart/Germany. Following assignments of increasing responsibility in Manufacturing Engineering at Freightliner, Reinhardt became Vice President and General Manager of Western Star Trucks in 2001. In 2003, Reinhardt was appointed President and CEO of Daimler Trucks’ North American Engine business, Detroit Diesel.

After almost 13 years at the Daimler Group, Reinhardt joined Meritor Inc. in Troy, Michigan/USA in 2006. As President and Chief Operating Officer he was responsible for the company’s global Commercial Vehicle, Industrial and Aftermarket businesses.

On July 1, 2012 Carsten J. Reinhardt joined Voith as a member of the Corporate Board of Management and Chairman of the Management Board of Voith Turbo.

Carsten J. Reinhardt (*1967) has been a member of the Management Board of Voith GmbH and Chairman of the Management Board of the Group Division Voith Turbo since July 2012.
