Find your perfect fabric
Forming Fabrics
Forming fabrics play an essential role in paper and board production.
Forming fabrics are technical products that significantly influence runability, raw material, energy and overall performance of a paper machine. Our portfolio contains forming fabric designs for the production of all paper grades on all paper machine configurations.
I-Series forming fabrics family
The Voith I-Series forming fabrics utilize a completely new warp setup optimizing all areas of fabric performance. The papermaker no longer has to sacrifice one area of performance to optimize another. The I-Series fabrics take the SSB concept to the next level of performance.
MultiForm IC²
MultiForm IC² is a fabric with unique product properties and new yarn shapes.
With the square bottom warp yarn the wear side of the design will open itself, which allows to increase the weft count. MultiForm IC² sets the new standard for B&P. This improves many product properties for example the life potential.
The square shape of the bottom warp of the new MultiForm IC² creates a design which allows increased bottom weft counts at given permeability. With this modification we improve fabric stability, increase abrasion volume and contact area. It provides best fabric life and optimum drainage capacity in combination with maximum sheet support for best retention and a smooth surface for good printability.
In combination with the high impact resistant and dirt repellent top side yarns this fabric will improve runability and provide best performance.

Press Fabrics
Paper smoothness and best printability with +Pro
In addition to these advantages, you also benefit from...
- Uniform pressing
- Higher dryness
- Reduced break frequency
- Wear resistance
Up to a faster startup with +Up
- With +Up, your tissue machine starts up an average 50% faster than with standard felts.
- The Efficiency Add-On +Up generates benefits of up to 100,000 €/year in additional production volume.
- It is 100% compatible with all felts in tissue, for example, Infinity, TissueFlex and Evolution.
Maximum dewatering with +Peak
The +Peak technology is a specially developed elastomer material. Used in press fabric, it reduces the start-up period while maintaining steady-state performance throughout its operational life. This unique Voith product is a perfect solution for increasing dewatering performance in the press section of your paper machine.
Press fabrics are important components for efficient dewatering.
A variety of designs is available and customizable for each pressing application. The concept of modularity is crucial for press fabric construction at Voith. Our engineers choose base components from an array of options and tailor batt layers to meet specific customer requirements. Functional characteristics are created with special components like Elastomer, Vector, yarn variations and Spectra, to name a few. The woven layer in the felt can be replaced with special components, giving the fabric new functional features.
Highly durable press fabrics for steady-state operation
Infinity is a new generation of laminated felts that incorporates modularity with a completely new way of manufacturing the base cloth and the seam. Infinity delivers clear advantages to the papermaker that target efficient dewatering, better sheet quality, fast startup, reduced chemical use, safety and energy savings. In short: "fit and forget."
Dryer Fabrics
Dryer fabrics play a major role in the process of drying and paper machine efficiency
Therefore, Voith has developed a full series of woven and spiral designs to suit all requirements. Optimal material choice and special designs support cleanliness, heat resistance and runability to address our customers’ production goals. To reach better results in drying efficiency, Voith has developed CleanWeave, a new product range of dryer fabrics. CleanWeave dryer fabrics are characterized by strength, durability and hydrolysis resistance throughout the whole fabric life. They are designed to minimize the build-up of contamination within the fabric structure and to manage the extreme conditions found in a dryer section.
Ever get stuck when joining a dryer fabric?
To make seaming as easy as possible, Voith now offers a short video explaining how to join a dryer fabric and how to deal with obstacles. It starts with an explanation on how to load and align the fabric correctly. The second part shows the different variants of seam aids Voith provides for customers. At the core of the video is the seaming itself. It includes troubleshooting support for the most common problems encountered when seaming. The last part rounds it up with advice on finishing and housekeeping.
Fabric Diagnostics
ProTect NG: New generation of safe press fabric measurements
Is the safety of your employees important to you?
Voith has the right measuring device for press fabric measurements under paper machine operation. It is unimaginable what can happen during a felt bursts, while an employee is conducting a press fabric measurement with a handheld device.

Forming fabric inspection tool
Voith forming fabrics are best in class, and now our customers can profit from a unique new service. With the Q-Fit camera, our service engineers can judge the forming fabric wear during machine run even at very high speeds. Avoiding unnecessary downtime, eliminating surprises and gaining higher efficiency are just a few benefits of this new key development for the paper industry.
Safety first – Dryer fabric analyzer service
Voith operates a strict safety policy to attain a target of zero accidents. Our teams are trained to perform a range of services in a safe working environment. It is with safety in mind that Voith has developed the unique Dryer Fabric Analyzer (DFA), a self-driven device that offers full-width measurements, eliminating any measurement errors. The DFA performs both fabric permeability measurements and surface images without the operator climbing into the dryer section.
Broke Conveyor
Effective broke transport thanks to our new BrokeGo
The requirements of a broke conveyor are different from those of a dryer fabric. While the ribbed upper surface is specifically developed to provide efficient broke transport, the smooth underside provides highest wear resistance. Result is a longer service life.
