Dr. Toralf Haag elected to the Presidential Board of the BDI

HEIDENHEIM/FRANKFURT, GERMANY. Dr. Toralf Haag, CEO of the Voith Group, has now been elected by the BDI Presidential Board to the BDI Presidential Board for the 2021/22 term of office. The Presidential Board presides over the content-related work of the BDI and appoints BDI management at the suggestion of the President.

“I am delighted at my election to the BDI Presidential Board, which, from January, will be under the leadership of the new BDI President, Prof. Siegfried Russwurm, who is also the Chairman of the Shareholders’ Committee and Supervisory Board of the Voith Group,” explains Haag. “German industry comprises more than 8 million employees operating in large-, medium-, and small-sized companies. Our common task, both within the association and on the presidential board, will be to lead German industry out of the current crisis and, in doing so, to preserve these jobs. If we work together on digitalizing and decarbonizing the economy, we can not only expand our technological leadership in the country, but also create a sustainable industrial system.”
