Dr. Toralf Haag re-elected to the Presidential Board of the BDI

HEIDENHEIM/BERLIN, GERMANY. Dr. Toralf Haag, CEO of the Voith Group, was re-elected to the Presidium of the BDI for the term 2023/24 on Monday, November 28. This is Haag's second term as a member of the body; he was first elected for the years 2021/22. The Presidential Board presides over the content-related work of the BDI and appoints the BDI management at the suggestion of the President. With Toralf Haag on the board, Voith can play a central role in the association, which aims to further strengthen Germany as a successful economic location, focusing among other things on promoting innovation.

About the BDI

The BDI is the umbrella organization of German industry and industry-related services. It speaks for 40 trade associations and more than 100,000 companies with around eight million employees in Germany. 15 organizations in the regional states represent the interests of the economy at regional level. The BDI is as diverse as the German economy, and yet speaks with one voice. Opinions are formed in numerous committees, working parties, and working groups.
