It is an honor to join the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Advisory Committee, and I look forward to working with my fellow members to formulate our recommendations for Secretary Raimondo. The Biden Administration has demonstrated a deep commitment to expanding renewable energy, relying on equipment and technology produced right here in America. Hydropower has a vital role to play in meeting the Administration’s energy goals, and I am confident the world’s original renewable energy source will be featured prominently in our final recommendations.

The inaugural meeting of the 7th Charter of the REEEAC took place in December. In total, the 6th Charter of the REEEAC (2020-2022) held nine meetings and submitted 12 recommendations to the U.S. Department of Commerce.
