Roland Muench will leave Voith
Matthias Lindemann, currently Chief Financial Officer at Digital Ventures, will assume the position of CEO on an interim basis until a final succession plan has been agreed for the unit.
After studying electrical engineering at the University of Fridericiana in Karlsruhe, Dr. Muench worked as a research assistant at the Institute for General Electrical Engineering and High Voltage Technology at RWTH Aachen University, where he received his doctorate in 1990.
In 1991, Dr. Muench joined the ABB Group as a development engineer for control systems. After holding various management positions, he took over the function of Spokesman of the Board of ABB Calor Emag Schaltanlagen AG, Mannheim, in 1998. In 1999 he joined ABB Malaysia as CEO and Country Manager.
In 2002, Dr. Muench joined the Management Board of Voith Paper Holding in Heidenheim, where he was responsible for the paper technology divisions of Jagenberg AG acquired by Voith. In October 2002, he took over as Head of the Voith Paper Automation Division. In 2006, he was appointed to the Corporate Board of Management and since 2008 has headed the Group Division Voith Hydro. Effective January 1, 2016, he took over the management of the newly created Voith Digital Ventures unit.
