Foundation for digitalization – innovation from Aachen
Already in 2004 Voith laid the foundation for Industry 4.0 in the steel industry at the Aachen location.
In 2004, just six years after ACIDA GmbH was founded, Voith Turbo acquired a majority stake in the company.
Decision maker Dr. Jürgen Zeschky (Voith Turbo) aimed at that time to “make steel smarter.”
By doing so, he laid the foundation for the digital transformation.
ACIDA GmbH became fully integrated into the Voith family in 2016 and is now part of the Voith Digital Ventures division.
