Voith's Hydro unit in Latin America develops personalized, long-term services and solutions for large hydroelectric plants and SHPs - Small Hydroelectric Plants. In the region, Voith Hydro's history is part of the development of hydroelectric energy: the supply of electromechanical equipment for important projects - from Itatinga, one of the first supplies, to Itaipu, a world landmark in the development of hydroelectric source energy, through Guri and Paulo Afonso, among many others.

Its portfolio of products and services covers the entire life cycle and all the main components for small or large enterprises, from generators, turbines, pumps and automation systems to spare parts, maintenance services, training and digital solutions for intelligent hydroelectricity.

Divided into two business divisions - Mobility and Industry - in South America, Voith Turbo has contributed to urban mobility through projects such as the well-known TransMilenio, in Colombia, the São Paulo metro system, one of the most populous cities in the Latin America, and Machu Picchu, Peru, among many others.
