Voith has a presence in more than ten locations in Latin America, the Group's first subsidiary outside Europe, and sales offices and service workshops strategically positioned to serve its three business units: Voith Hydro, Voith Paper and Voith Turbo.
Voith's Hydro unit in Latin America develops personalized, long-term services and solutions for large hydroelectric plants and SHPs - Small Hydroelectric Plants. In the region, Voith Hydro's history is part of the development of hydroelectric energy: the supply of electromechanical equipment for important projects - from Itatinga, one of the first supplies, to Itaipu, a world landmark in the development of hydroelectric source energy, through Guri and Paulo Afonso, among many others.
