Products and Services
We, VPIT, applies Voith Paper's One Platform Concept and provides rapid and consistent 'Products and Services' as a lifecycle partner in the manufacturing process.
With the Papermaking 4.0 concept utilizing digital technology, maximum operational efficiency can be achieved with minimal manpower. In addition to achieving high processing capacity and product quality, it is also possible to make environmentally conscious operational proposals, such as water conservation and reduction of CO2 emissions.
At the Paper Technology Center, not only can performance verification be conducted using actual machines, but it can also be utilized as a training platform to enhance customer skills.
VPIT was established in April 2001 as a joint venture between IHI Corporation of Japan and Voith Paper GmbH & Co. KG of Germany. Thanks to everyone's support, we will celebrate our 25th anniversary at the end of March 2026. We conduct business not only in Japan but also in South Korea, Taiwan, Southeast Asia, and Oceania. Since our establishment, we have adhered to the principle of 'Japanese spirit, Western technology,' providing the technology and services of Voith Paper. From now on, to address social issues that challenge our customers, such as decarbonization, labor shortages, and aging equipment, we intend to contribute to the modernization of the paper industry through IHI's human resources and network, along with Voith Paper's technology.
Mutually Beneficial Business Partnership
In April 2024, we announced the registration of its Declaration for Building Partnerships, which is led by Japanese government. Based on this, we aims for mutually beneficial partnership with its business partners.
As an example of its joint improvement activities with business partners, we has implemented bottleneck process improvement and technological activities to reduce manufacturing costs through a relaxation of tolerances and requirement changes with consideration to actual process conditions. We shares these benefits. We considers its business partners as partners with whom we advances its business together, and by valuing open dialogue and cooperation, we desires to work together to strengthen competitiveness and prosperity in a way that is mutually beneficial.
