Voith award Scholarships for a School Year in Brazil
In cooperation with AFS Interkulturelle Begegnungen e.V. (AFS Intercultural Programs), the Hanns Voith Foundation and Voith GmbH will be awarding a partial scholarship for a one-year stay in Brazil during the Brazilian school year running from February 2015 to January 2016.

This will promote cultural openness of young people as an important prerequisite for future career development.
The recipient will spend the Brazilian school year 2015/16 with a host family, which is involved on a voluntary basis. He/she will attend school in the host country.
The preparation and the care of the young exchange students will be handled by the AFS. The AFS carefully selects the participants of the exchange program and the host families and organizes preparatory seminars in Germany. In addition, there will be events in the host country at the beginning and the end of the stay, focusing on information about the host country and meeting other AFS youths from different countries of the world. A 24-hour emergency service is available to all participants in the event of problems.
Application requirements:
The scholarship is open to children of employees of Voith GmbH and regional Voith subsidiaries, who will be between 15 - 18 years old at the time of departure.
The main application phase for a winter departure in early 2015 goes until 15 May 2014.
Good to average academic results are required for a placement in the host country. The scholarship will provide your child with an opportunity to experience everyday life in a host family, to attend school and to win friends in a "second homeland."
