Voith China Training Center Kicks off One-Year Technical Trainee Program
On July 28, 2014 the Voith China Training Center held the ceremony to kick off the one-year technical trainee program by welcoming the first class of trainees recruited from technical schools.

The new training facility of Voith has been inaugurated in April 2014 with the goal to train qualified employees for the Chinese market and thus significantly widen the company’s local presence.
These trainees major in mechatronics, mechanical and electrical engineering or other related studies. Over 46 weeks, they will complete a comprehensive practical internship at Voith and receive a vocational education that is specifically tailored to the requirements of the respective industry.
With a practical focus, the course series is designed to integrate the real operation procedure and actual needs from Voith. In addition, the comprehensive training projects foster the development of diversified skills and competency and also include Voith specific content like the company’s Code of Conduct, safety trainings and Operations Excellence (OPEX). At the end of the program the qualified graduates will be granted with professional course certificates and graduation certificates of the technical trainee program issued by the Voith China Training Center.
The program has received great feedback from the technical schools where Voith recruited its young talents. “The one-year training program offers great value to the technical trainees by strengthening their competitiveness for their future career”, one of the technical school teachers commented. “They will operate with machines from world leading brands and receive first-hand know-how from the experienced industry professionals at Voith.”
With the Voith China Training Center, the company introduced the dual-track vocational education system in China, which ideally complements China's job qualification concepts and secures Voith a reliable workforce of local young talents with excellent theoretical knowledge and practical know-how. In the long term, Voith customers and partners of local companies will have the possibility to utilize the Voith China Training Center for the further qualification of their workforce.
