Buzz! – A Game Where Speed Counts
Buzzers are known from TV programs such as "Who wants to be a millionaire" or casting shows, where they are fitted to the desks of the jury members. But how does such a buzzer actually work? How is it constructed?

Our mechatronics apprentices from Krefeld looked more closely into the subject and developed a new game with an in-house designed buzzer. .
With this buzzer, one of the four lights comes on, chosen by random generator, once the game has started. The gamers now have to activate the relevant button as quickly as possible. As soon as one of the gamers has pressed the right button, the next light comes on. The game ends after a certain number of total hits. The hits are added up in the control system and compared with each other. The gamer with the most hits wins the game, which is indicated by a flashing light on the gaming dashboard.
A truly impressive piece of project work. But how did it come about? As part of the basic training course "Electrical Engineering" our first-year electronics apprentices for plant engineering had discussed and processed the subject "Logo Control Systems". In conclusion they had to think of a project involving logo control, for which they were given a total of three days.
This resulted in the development of the project "Buzzer", which was designed and implemented with different levels of difficulty.
And the final result is indeed something to be proud of!!
