Dual Studies – Voith Graduates Achieve Excellent Results and Win Four Prizes

In 2014, 21 dual students completed their studies at Voith. During their penultimate or final practical stage at Voith they wrote their Bachelor's theses and achieved outstanding results.

All in all, fourteen technical students for subjects such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering and informatics, as well as seven commercial students for industrial business administration and industrial informatics completed their studies at Voith. While writing their Bachelor's thesis, the undergraduates worked on technical and commercial issues, looked at existing theories on given topics and developed new approaches for Voith. Fifteen of the final papers received straight "Firsts", and the feedback from the relevant technical departments was also positive.

At the graduation ceremony at the end of November, four of our Voith students were also awarded prizes. Moritz Möhlenkamp (industrial engineering) was given the Voith-sponsored prize in the category "Commitment toward Students' Needs". Moritz Möhlenkamp was the spokesman for the students and proactive at the University Council, where he represented all students towards the university, company representatives and regional politics. In addition, Matthias Abel was awarded as this year's best mechanical engineering student. Johannes Veile (industrial business administration) received a prize for "Best Bachelor's Thesis in Economy", while Alexander Birkle (mechanical engineering) won the prize for "Best Bachelor's Thesis in the Faculty for Technology".

The fantastic results of the graduation papers were only possible with exciting subjects and intensive support by Voith. Therefore, our thanks go firstly and foremostly to all the mentors of our dual students and their superiors. And of course we also congratulate our dual students on their great performance!
