My pupil internship at Voith
My name is Alisa, I am 15 years old and live in Syrgenstein. I attend year nine of the Albertus Grammar School in Lauingen, where I will obtain my high school degree in 2018.

Why did you decide for an internship at Voith?
I have known the name Voith since my early childhood, because my grandmother and my mother have worked and/or are still working at Voith. When the subject of internships came up at school I immediately thought of Voith. In addition, Voith is represented worldwide and therefore offers a perfect opportunity to get an insight in a large globally active company.
How was your first day at Voith?
On my first day I was quite curious about what would expect me, and initially I also was a little nervous - this was, after all, my first internship. But this worry disappeared very quickly, because I was welcomed in such a totally friendly manner. I really appreciated how much time my "colleagues" spent with me. In this way I was able to get a comprehensive idea of their individual tasks and careers.
Which departments did you get to know?
I spent time in the departments Personnel Marketing, Training Services, Learning & Development and University Programs.
What was your first task?
My first job was to sort advertisements of Voith, for example in exhibition magazines.
What was your best and your worst internship moment?
My best moment was when I received positive feedback for my presentation on "Giveaways." Luckily there was never a bad moment.
What is your verdict on your internship?
The time at Voith just flew by and I felt in good hands at any time. The internship confirmed my choice of attending the business and economics section at upper level. I am very glad that I was able to get a glimpse of the everyday work of a graduate economist.
