Heidenheim. Professor Dr. Siegfried Russwurm, a member of the Siemens AG group management board until March 2017, has been appointed to the Voith Group Shareholders’ Committee as of March 23, 2018. He succeeds Dr. Nicola Leibinger-Kammüller in the role, who has stepped down as planned from the governing body after around ten years.​

Russwurm, born in 1963 in Marktgraitz/Lichtenfels, is recognized internationally as one of the pioneers leading the digitalization of the industry. He was a member of the management board at Siemens AG from January 2008 and had varying departmental responsibilities there. He was responsible for the industry sector and most recently for the medical technology division of Siemens Healthineers. Russwurm also acted as the chief technology officer for Siemens AG and in this position he drove forward the digital transformation of the company significantly. He has been honorary professor of mechatronics at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg since 2009.

Keitel also thanked Dr. Nicola Leibinger-Kammüller for her many years of committee work for Voith: “Dr. Leibinger-Kammüller has supported Voith for around ten years with her expertise as an excellent family entrepreneur and has provided important inspiration for our company. We would like to express our gratitude and appreciation,” says Keitel. 

In addition, new members Ina-Maria Schweppenhäuser, from the side of the family shareholders, and Dr. Hubert Lienhard, former chair of the Corporate Board of Management, were appointed to the Shareholders’ Committee. Dr. Lienhard will become a member of the Shareholders’ Committee starting on April 1, 2018.
