Russwurm new Chairman of the Voith Supervisory Boards

  • Prof. Dr.-Ing. Siegfried Russwurm elected Chairman of the Supervisory Board and Shareholders’ Committee
  • Having attained the statutory age limit, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Hans-Peter Keitel and Dr. Siegfried Dais have resigned from both supervisory bodies
  • Dr. Norbert Kloppenburg newly appointed to Shareholders’ Committee and Supervisory Board
 

 

HEIDENHEIM, Baden-Württemberg. Prof. Dr.-Ing. Siegfried Russwurm (55), member of the Shareholders’ Committee since March 2018, has been elected as the new Chairman of the Supervisory Board and Shareholders’ Committee of the Voith Group effective as of March 29. He succeeds Prof. Dr.-Ing. Hans-Peter Keitel (71), who had been a member since February 2013 and Chairman since October 2014, who has left both the Supervisory Board and the Shareholders’ Committee after attaining the statutory age limit.

Dr. Norbert Kloppenburg (62) has been appointed to the Voith Shareholders’ Committee and the Supervisory Board. He succeeds Dr. Siegfried Dais (71), who also retired from the Voith supervisory bodies at the end of his term of office, having attained the statutory age limit. 

The company would like to thank Prof. Dr.-Ing. Hans-Peter Keitel for his great commitment in the context of restructuring the Group into a leading technology provider for the digital industry and for his five years of solidly founded leadership of the supervisory bodies. CV of Dr. Norbert Kloppenburg
Dr. Kloppenburg was a member of the Board of Managing Directors of KfW since 2007, where he was responsible for international financing. Dr. Kloppenburg significantly shaped and expanded the promotional activities of the KfW Development Bank and the two subsidiaries of KfW Banking Group, the German Investment and Development Company mbH (DEG) and the KfW IPEX bank. In 2013/14 he was a member of the UN Intergovernmental Committee of Experts on Sustainable Development Financing. 

CV of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Siegfried Russwurm
Born in 1963 in Marktgraitz/Lichtenfels, Russwurm is internationally regarded as being one of the pioneers of the digitalization of the industry. He was a member of the management board at Siemens AG from January 2008 and had various departmental responsibilities there. Among other things he was responsible for the industry sector and most recently for the medical technology division of Siemens Healthineers. Prof. Dr.-Ing. Russwurm also acted as Chief Technology Officer of Siemens AG. In this position, he decisively advanced the digital transformation of the company. He has been an Honorary Professor of Mechatronics at the University of Nuremberg-Erlangen since 2009.
