Meeting of the Bonding supporters in Berlin

On 11 and 12 March the half-yearly meeting of the Bonding sponsoring members took place, which is always held at one of the 18 associated companies.

This time, DB German Railways invited the participants to Berlin for two days. In a number of workshops and discussion rounds, the students of the different Bonding locations were able to talk with the supporting companies. This direct exchange helps to provide intellectual support for the student initiative Bonding, add extra incentive and develop the organization further.
The discussions focused on procedures that are running well, on areas where the companies might see room for improvement and possible future projects and events. The talks in Berlin were very productive and moved the daily operations of the student initiative Bonding another step forward to the general benefit of all students at the individual Bonding universities and colleges. The next meeting of the Bonding supporters will take place at Voith in Heidenheim in autumn.

Since 1 January 2014 Voith is a sponsoring member of the student initiative Bonding. Bonding is one of the largest technical student initiatives in Germany. Bonding is a registered non-profit organization represented at 11 universities throughout Germany. The aim of Bonding is to allow students an insight into their future professional life while they are still at university. All gatherings and events are organized on a honorary basis and free of charge for the students. Bonding is currently sponsored by 18 companies providing financial but above all intellectual support. The number of sponsoring companies is limited and depends on an initial application with a subsequent selection process. This is why we are particularly pleased to be a sponsoring member since January 2014 and thus able to intensify and expand our strategic cooperation in the field of higher education.
